So Runs The World Away was acclaimed in Ireland the week of it’s release with 4 Star (out of 5) reviews in the Ticket (“Josh Ritter has seemingly effortless levels of quality control”), Day & Night (“Ritter's most intriguing and rewarding album to date. It's easily his most diverse”) a 5 Star review in the Daily Mail and a gushing 8 out of 10 in Hot Press (“Ultimately So Runs The World Away sees Josh Ritter claiming and cultivating new territory, commingling Biblical symbol systems, ramblin’ gamblin’ riverboat tales and old world storytelling”). Of the Idaho-native, Paste magazine declares, “Put simply, Ritter is the most gifted interpreter of Americana, as an arranger and a lyricist, working today.”
